About
Research that lands in practice
I am Professor and Co-Director of the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Bern. My work connects research on digital transformation and responsible AI with the question of how organisations turn it into sound decisions.
Background
Career path
I completed my doctorate and habilitation at LMU Munich, before moving to the University of Bern. For years I have been researching at the intersection of technology, strategy and organisation, with a focus on the strategic dimensions of digitalisation and the responsible use of AI. My work appears in the leading journals of the field.
In parallel, I work with corporations, SMEs, associations and public sector organisations. It is precisely this exchange between research and practice that shapes how I advise: rigorously, but always with an eye on the decision that is actually pending. As a keynote speaker and advisor, I bring this perspective to stages, leadership teams and boards.
